As a distinctive member of such a prolifically made and serviceable Class, the 45157 ‘Glasgow Highlander’ makes for a noteworthy addition to any model railway. Despite its prestigious identity, the 'Glasgow Highlander' was not preserved. Numerous other 'Black 5s' were preserved, with 12 being purchased directly from BR.
